Project-based work is at the very heart of the Creative Technologies programme – the scope of the course necessitates it. Projects will, as much as possible, be driven by students and will therefore reflect their interests and ideas. All projects are produced to a high standard which, at the end of three years, collectively serve as a portfolio suitable for exhibition, production and/or presentation to a future employer/client. Projects will be collaborative, involving both staff and students from Creative Technologies and, where possible, other disciplines within the School of Creative Arts.
Final year students will conceptualise, research, develop and deploy a significant project of their own choosing. All project outcomes are negotiated in advance with the course team and project management schemes typical of those used in industry are used to monitor and update the project team and project supervisors on progress.
The following pages will highlight specific projects by both staff and students.
