Imagine Create is a digital arts festival which brings together a world-class line-up of talents and minds from the worlds of art, design, new media and software development to discuss creativity, art, technology, society and innovation.
Expect five days of inspirational talks, demonstrations, panels, exhibits and performances delivered by the people and tools transforming digital culture.
The biennial event will take place at locations around the city of Derry~Londonderry and runs from 29 March to 2 April 2011.
The festival exists to provide present and future professional creatives from across Northern Ireland the chance to hear, see and mix with internationally renowned experts as well as those from the local and regional creative and cultural industries.
In addition, the event will showcase exciting work by local creatives and show how the creative industries can be a viable career option for students and young people.

Specific topics for Imagine Create 2011 include: Augmented Reality, interactive applications, experience design, video and film, music production, physical computing, narrative and visual communication, technology in the built environment and digital futures.

The festival is organised by the Univerisy of Ulster’s School of Creative Arts, in collaboration with academic partners at the School of Computing and Intelligent Systems and regional partners including the Department of Culture Arts & Leisure, Derry City Council, Digital Derry, ilex, Digital Circle, Invest Northern Ireland, North West Regional College, Skillset Media Academy, Nerve Centre, Foyle Film Festival, Verbal Arts Centre, Void Gallery and The Playhouse.
